We are looking for an experienced Assistant Managing Director for an organization with a regulatory role in the manufacturing sector that should work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement policies that will attain the company’s objectives. An Assistant Managing Director supports the Managing Director by managing and training employees, developing programs that serve the best interest of the company, overseeing budgets, and ensuring that day-to-day business runs smoothly.


This position requires a person with very strong leadership qualities, excellent organization skills and an ability to think creatively. An assistant Managing Director assists in the hiring and termination of employees help develop program or curricula, manage the budget and financial issues and presents strategic plans to the Managing Director.

Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Coordinates and oversees company development and execution.

·         Assists Director and HR in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring employees to help run the company.

·         Assists in drawing up employee contracts for senior staff.

·         Manages budgetary and other financial issues relevant to the running of the company or department, including payroll.

·         Plans activities and special events for the company.

·         Promotes and markets the company products and any special events.

·         Supervises employee activity and delegates tasks.

·         Coordinates employee work schedule with Heads of departments.

·         Handles and resolves any disputes within the company and stakeholders in support of the Managing Director.

·         Sets company goals, and devises new methods for improving and sustaining company or department activity.

·         Presents development ideas to the Managing Director or heads of departments.

·         Reserves meeting or event space.

·         Reports to Managing Director with any issues, problems, updates, or questions.


Qualifications and Competencies

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or any Social Science required.

·         Management experience in the workforce also required.

·         An MBA or equivalent graduate degree can substitute for a portion of the required work history.


Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to accurately and succinctly communicate complex ideas.

·         Demonstrates excellent leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and earn the respect of other staff.

·         Possesses strong time management and organizational skills.

·         Must have the energy and stamina required to supervise a number of activities, which requires ongoing movement and lifting of some supplies.
