Over the years, Dr. Sokuni has also played a big role in shaping the HR profession in Zambia.
He served as Vice President of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM), where he helped improve how HR is managed and respected across the country.
He also sits on several company boards, where he advises on corporate governance and employee development.
Because of his outstanding leadership, Dr. Sokuni has been recognised as Best CEO (HR Orientation) by the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management two consecutive times, in 2022–2023 and again in 2024–2025.
These awards show his consistency, professionalism and the high standards he continues to set in the HR field.
