We are seeking to recruit for the position of Plumber qualified trade personnel preferably from Kitwe area to join Our client in the Agricultural Industry. They also focus on developing innovative solutions and providing technical support on-site in Kawambwa.

Duties and Responsibilities

 A plumber installs, maintains, and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Fixes domestic appliances, such as dishwasher, washing machine and gas cookers. Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

Plumber Responsibilities:

ü  Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials

ü  Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids

ü  Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation

ü  Assembles fittings and valves for installation

ü  Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building

ü  Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary

ü  Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters

ü  Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing

ü  Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems

Qualifications and Core Competencies Required

ü  Grade 12 certificate

ü  Technical and Vocational Education and Training qualification

ü  Apprentice training and passed the National Trade Test

ü  Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.

ü  Attention to detail.

ü  Good interpersonal skills.

ü  Physical stamina

Knowledge and Skills:

ü  A minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience (at least 2 years in large company).

ü  Knowledge of plumbing fitting practices and Project Management.

ü  Professionalism, Time and Priority Management.

ü  Demonstrated technical and programmatic knowledge and experience

ü  Demonstrated listening skills

ü  Have experience in the development and implementation of large scale, use of project management tools and fostering collaborative work environments.

ü  Be a dynamic, energetic, highly organized and an experienced individual who will be responsible for all plumbing projects.

ü  Communication in the English language is required
