We are seeking to recruit for the position of Boilermaker qualified personnel preferably from Kitwe area to join Our client in the Agricultural Industry. They also focus on developing innovative solutions and providing technical support on site in Kawambwa.
A Boilermaker should be proficient in welding skills, be physically fit, and demonstrate good reading comprehension. Ultimately, a top-notch Boilermaker should have the ability to detect and fix problems, excellent mechanical skills, and be able to work in tanks at any height.
Duties and Responsibilities
ü Installing boilers into facilities.
ü Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions.
ü Completing maintenance documentation.
ü Organizing and assembling boiling parts.
ü Shaping and fabricating parts.
ü Cleaning pressure vessel equipment.
ü Inspecting equipment for proper functioning.
Qualifications and Core Competencies Required
ü Grade 12 certificate
ü Technical and Vocational Education and Training qualification.
ü Apprentice training and passed the National Trade Test.
ü Good mechanical aptitude.
ü Excellent reading comprehension.
ü Physical stamina.
ü Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
ü Attention to detail.
ü Good interpersonal skills.
ü Excellent verbal communication skills.
ü Good organization skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
ü A minimum of 5-10 years of experience (of which at least half should be in a large mining industry).
ü Knowledge of financial practices and project management.
ü Professionalism, Time and Priority Management
ü Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
ü Installation of equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
ü Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
ü Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
ü Troubleshooting -Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
ü Equipment Selection -Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
ü Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
ü Reading Comprehension -Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
ü Operation Monitoring -Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
